Where things stand
Straight about what exists today.
Mint started with independent agencies. Mint for MGAs is the next product, and we are building it with the people who will run it.
Mint for agencies
The management system for independent agencies is in early access in Texas and New Mexico.
Mint for MGAs
Being designed with MGA design partners. Nothing on this page is offered as a live product yet.
Early access conversations
We open Mint for MGAs one MGA at a time, starting with a conversation about how your programs run.
MGA operations
The program grew. The spreadsheets grew with it.
Most MGAs run on email, shared drives and a workbook only one person fully understands. Mint for MGAs is designed around the four places that breaks first.
The usual way
What Mint is designed to do

Submissions arrive by email and live in someone’s inbox.
What Mint is designed to do
One submission queue, with a status and an owner on every file.
The usual way
Agency licenses, appointments and E&O dates sit in a spreadsheet.
What Mint is designed to do
Each agency’s license, appointment and E&O on its record, with reminders before they lapse.
The usual way
Bordereaux are rebuilt by hand every month.
What Mint is designed to do
Bordereaux built from bound policies, ready for review.
The usual way
Production by agency and producer is pieced together for every meeting.
What Mint is designed to do
Production that rolls up from producer to agency to program.
Distribution and compliance
Know who can sell what, and where.
Every appointed agency will have one record: its licenses, its appointments by program, its E&O certificate, its producers and its commission schedule.
- Agencies and producers in a hierarchy you define
- Licenses, appointments and E&O with expiration dates
- Commission schedules by program, new and renewal
- Reminders to the agency before anything lapses
- Agency license · TXActive · expires Mar 2028
- Appointment · Personal auto programActive since Jan 2025
- E&O certificateExpires in 21 days
- Commission schedule15% new · 12% renewal
- Producers3 licensed · 1 pending
Reminder to the agency: upload the renewed E&O certificate.
Submissions and underwriting
Every submission, with a status and an owner.
Submissions from your agencies will land in one queue. Underwriters see what is missing, what needs a referral and what is waiting on the agency, without digging through email.

- 1
Received
The agency submits the risk and its documents through the portal.
- 2
In review
An underwriter owns the file and asks for what is missing on the submission itself.
- 3
Referred
Outside your authority or appetite, it goes to the right person with the reason attached.
- 4
Quoted
The quote goes back to the agency, with its terms on the record.
- 5
Bound
Bound business feeds accounting and reporting without retyping.
Agency experience
A portal your agencies will actually use.
Your agencies will submit business, answer underwriting questions, upload documents and see their commission statements in one place, on a phone or a desk.

- Status of every submission without calling your office

Designed into the platform
The work around every file.
Documents, messages, reminders and rules, built on the same foundation as Mint for agencies.
Documents
Applications, loss runs, binders and endorsement requests attached to the submission and the policy, not to an email thread.
Communication
Messages with the agency on the file itself, so the underwriter and the producer read the same history.
Automation
Reminders for missing documents, expiring licenses and E&O, and bordereau due dates.
Configurable workflows
Your statuses, your referral rules and your approval steps, set up as settings rather than code.
Roles and visibility
Underwriting, accounting and distribution each see what their role allows, checked on every request.
English and Spanish
Every screen in both languages, for your team and for your agencies.
In developmentAll of the above is being designed with MGA design partners.

Questions
What MGA teams ask first
Is Mint for MGAs available today?
Not yet. We are building it with a small group of MGA design partners and opening it through early access conversations. The screens on this page are concepts, not a live product.
Can the agencies we work with use Mint today?
Yes. Independent agencies can join Mint’s early access now. In an agency’s Mint, your MGA is one more company on its list of carriers, with its code and commission. Mint for MGAs is a separate product, and neither one reads the other’s data.
Will Mint rate and issue policies for our programs?
Rating, quoting and issuance are part of the design work, and we won’t promise them on a date. We would rather show you what is built than describe what is planned.
What does a design partner do?
Walks us through how your program runs today, reviews screens as they are built and tells us what is wrong with them. Design partners are first in when early access opens.
How much will it cost?
Pricing for Mint for MGAs is not set. Tell us about your program and we will be straight with you about timing.
